June Jaeger , Instructor

June Jaeger lives near a small Central Oregon town of Prineville,

Oregon, at the foot of the Ochoco Mountains, where the juniper trees

and the pine trees come together. This is also the place June was born.

June was introduced to quilting by her sister, Jean Wells, of Sisters,

Oregon. Quilting became her passion and she started teaching in 1979.

Having studied Art and Veterinary Science while attending Cal Poly and

Oregon State University, it is easy to understand the inspiration for

June's quilt patterns and classes. June built a small log home in the

Ochoco Mountains and opened Log Cabin Quiltworks, where she

designs her patterns, over 70 at last count, makes custom quilts

and teaches.

This is your chance to become the designer. June will guide you

through the design process and making your own pattern. You

will create your one of a kind quilt to suit your desires in this two day workshop. You choose the size, style and subject of your quilt. You will be encouraged to combine techniques. Problem solving is one of June's specialties. The use of "Y" seams, stretchers, color, intensity and value, are some of the helpful hints discussed in class. This is a hands on class that you will be sewing on your project as well as designing.
