Being an avid sewer all her life, Linda has taken her skills from dressmaking to creating and teaching wonderful traditional quilts and patterns using today’s faster techniques and tools.  She believes there’s always something for everyone when it comes to quilting, and that quilters have a strong bond unlike anything else.

She lives in northern CA a small community named Palo Cedro, where she raised her 2 children and still resides with husband Dave. The light of her life is her two grandchildren, Blake and Elle.  Linda was a quilt shop owner in Redding, closing the shop after 6 years and pursued teaching throughout the world both on land and sea.  Being a past quilt shop owner, Linda can relate to ‘both sides of the counter’.  When possible she loves to play ‘shop owner’.  When it comes to teaching, she says ‘anyplace and anytime, I’m ready’!

Linda is known for her quilting retreats that she sponsors in CA, but has been known to travel around the country offering her expertise on retreats whenever she’s asked.  She always say’s ‘her bags are packed, just need an invitation’!

Linda has been featured in a variety of quilting magazines over the years with her quilts, her patterns and as ‘ad’ quilts for a specific line of fabrics.  She’s also had the privilege of being on Simply Quilts for two different seasons which meant plenty of reruns.  Also you’ll find her teaching on cruises throughout the world.  Yes, it’s rough, but someone has to do it!  She’s was nominated as ‘Teacher of the Year 2009’ from The Professional Quilter.  Even though she didn’t win, she feels she’s already won by being nominated ….. a great honor to be sure.  What’s in store for her in the future? She’s never sure, just ‘to be flexible and go with the possibilities that present itself’.  So where can you find her?  She’s at conferences across the country, on the sea teaching on cruises, quilt guilds and quilt shops …. Basically wherever she’s asked.

Finally, you can visit her website at www.letsquilt.com and see what she offers in the way of classes, a catalog where she sells her well written workbooks and notions, a calendar, retreat information and a few free patterns.  She always finishes with one simple word …. ENJOY!  That’s how it should be for all of you who quilt.
